New Delhi, May 2, 2008 : Nirula’s, India’s pioneering and most loved quick service restaurant chain, launched their new range of fruit flavoured Ice Creams – Nirula’s Truly Fruity and Biolite ice creams – Nirula’s Biolite. The fruit flavours will include Mango, Chiku, Anjeer, Apricot, Banana and Black Currant while the Biolite ice cream will be available in Nirula’s two most savored flavours – Vanilla & Strawberry.

Speaking on the launch, Mr. Samir Kuckreja, CEO and Managing Director, Nirula’s Group said, “Nirula’s Ice Creams have been cherished by generations since years. They contribute to a third of our total sales and we constantly try to innovate in the segment – be it our Flavour of the month or India’s first ice cream museum. With our Biolite and Truly Fruity range we have attempted to provide our customers with new innovative products.

Nirula’s Truly Fruity range offers taste of real fruit in six different flavours. With the Nirula’s Biolite range, ice cream lovers can enjoy Biolite range of frozen food in the same taste in a 33% less fat, 100% sugar free Biolite ice cream ideal for all adults. Nirula’s ice creams were the first to receive the HACCP certificate in India. The ice creams at Nirula’s are made of pure milk and are 100% vegetarian. Nirula’s Ice Cream Parlour, introduced in 1970s, was one of India’s first ice cream parlours chains, which made ice cream eating a ritual after dinners. With signature flavours like Delhi Delight, Manhattan Mania, 21 Love, Rum Raisin, Nutty Buddy and many more, the customers are hard pressed to choose a favourite. Nirula's Hot Chocolate Fudge, which evokes fond memories of school and college of all Delhites, is so popular that Nirula's loyalists have time and again suggested that they get it patented! Nirula’s also has a tradition of launching a new flavour every month.

On the launch, Nirula’s also initiated started a two month long ice cream festival – Sundae Fundae. The Sundae Fundae festival extends Nirula’s USP of choices to different flavours of ice creams, low calorie options and customized price preferences.
